Overview

YT Focus is a Chrome browser extension that replaces YouTube’s homepage grid with a lightweight, text-only categorized list. Your privacy is important to us.

Data Collection

YT Focus does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The extension operates entirely within your browser.

Data Storage

YT Focus stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API:

• Your display preferences (sort order, time filter, display toggles)
• Videos you’ve marked as watched
• Collapsed/visible category states
• Whether Focus Mode is enabled or disabled

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Network Requests

YT Focus makes no network requests to any external server. It only interacts with the YouTube pages you visit in order to read and reorganize the existing page content.

Permissions

• storage — Used to save your preferences locally
• host_permissions (youtube.com) — Required to inject the text overlay on YouTube pages

Third-Party Services

YT Focus does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
